Engaged in this work I couldn't resist humming this tune. And still so now and than I start humming it again. Hope my fellow students don't find it annoying.

Two weeks ago we did start with the handle. First we did draw some lines for the shape of the handle. After that a lot of plane work did follow.

Yesterday we glued the head parts together.

Next time the bench plane will be required again I think.
