To make the lace you wrap the thread around one hand an manipultes the shuttle with the other hand. No tools other than the thread, the hands, and the shuttle are used. Occasionally you use a crochet hook.
Winnie van Veghel, our teacher has with great patience familiarized us in this technique.
Double stitches, picots and loops is what we learned to make.
It will be necessary before a tablecloth or bedspread is finished to practice much.
With some materials Kitty send me I already did exercise a bit at home. That made following the instructions easier.
Impatient as I am I had already practiced with a very thin thread. Not bad I think.
Not as often I tell or show things happend around the house. For a change today I'll do.
When I came home yesterday I saw something we called "sisterly love in the henhouse". We made two nesting boxes for our hens. On this moment I think the hens thought why using two when we do fit together in one box. |
This morning, unfortunately I had to destroy this beautiful structure. It was too low to crawl underneath and too high to get step over. This is the only way I have to let the dog out. I'm so sorry mister or ma'am spider. Isn't it amazing how spiders can make such a wonderfull web? |
Time to do some work in the garden and afterwards some mini I think. Have a nice sunday.
Krin
