About Workshops
The making up of workshops went well in the early years. Eleven workshops in a year. We skipped only the holiday month. Otherwise it would have been 12. Not to mention that almost everyone did their best to make the workshop. That was fun. Seeing the same workshop that everyone made ended up different.
To give everyone the opportunity to join the workshop, there was an agreement that we would keep the costs of a workshop package as low as possible. We called that for "Club prices". An alternative was to make the workshop with the materials that you already had at home. Occasionally the packages were handed over even at trade fairs. Shifted shipping costs again.
And so it went on for a few more years. Eleven workshops in a year. It was a lot of work to find members who dared to give a workshop. This became even more difficult over the years. That is how the idea of the open evenings arose in 2012. On these evenings we would finish a workshop that was not finished yet. Which regularly led to a pleasant chat evening.
2013 and 2015 were the theme years. The toy store and the porch. There were few workshops given. With assignments we made a complete scene throughout the year.
